Room 13 Poetry writing

Today we wrote poems about birds and what it might be like  for them in the Vanauatu cyclone.
Here are some sample lines showing the clever use of words people have used.

Explosions of wind - Brendon

The waves leaped over the sand - Avah

Nests are shredded by merciless spinning cylinders - Cora

Wind starts to shut the cloud windows - Maddison

Birds hunker down in an underground cave - Lucy

Birds were being shredded apart like rag dolls - John

The bodies of paralyzed birds - Eliya

Suddenly the wind accelerated, grounding trees one by one - Ruairi

They rummage through the ominous black clouds for edibles - Reeya

Debris soared through the air decimating nests into trillions - Lewis
