Chess Club

On Wednesdays the Year 5/6 chess club meet in Room 11 to battle it out on their chess boards. There has been a great turn out and everyone is having lots of fun. Huge thanks to Howard and John.

Today we started on our scriptwriting and storyboarding for our documentaries. There was a real buzz in the rooms as most children worked really well together, discussing ideas and making agreements on what they wanted to do. High achieving, that's our team. Tino pai, Aoraki Achievers!

ZoneCross Country

Great  news. What a fantastic performance by the year 5 girls. All 6 team members were placed in the top ten! Congratulations to Emily  who won the race. Emily ran a tactical race by sprinting the down hill sections and finishing strongly. All the girls ran fabulous races and it was quite a sight seeing all that blue bunched together at the front.

Bluguru Indian Dance

Today we were privileged to see some wonderful tabla drum playing and Indian dancing. Have a look at the videos below and admire the on stage presence of our students. They did really well. The tabla drums were fascinating and very complex to play.
